Triodia’s services are based around three key areas:

  • Project management (make a community park; beautify your community; school gardens and environmental education; gardening and healthy lifestyle projects)
  • Training (learn how to grow and look after plants; training for your parks and gardens team; learn about local native plants; weed control and revegetation training)
  • Mowing (residential yards and commercial areas general maintenance)

Project management

Don provides project management and logistical services for community development projects that cover:

  • community vegetation projects including parks and ovals
  • gardening and healthy lifestyle projects
  • fusion food gardens incorporating local bush foods and exotic fruit and vegetables
  • school gardens and environmental education
  • interpretive nature walks
  • revegetation projects in natural bushland areas


Don provides specialised training services to increase employment opportunities:

  • for students in horticulture, conservation and land management
  • for parks and gardens teams and indigenous ranger groups

After training students are skilled in areas such as:

  • plant recognition and identification
  • plant nursery establishment and rejuvenation
  • plant propagation and maintenance
  • gardening and landscaping
  • horticulture
  • all aspects of natural resource management including weed control, revegetation and water catchment management

Don developed the ALEP Learning Guides while at Greening Australia, he can use these to deliver training outcomes through Triodia.

Don provides more than a training service. Don’s ability to connect with his clients enables him to provide mentoring, motivation and other community development services including:

  • motivational and career path talks
  • one on one mentoring particularly to young Aboriginal people
  • community event organisation
  • community and traditional owner consultation
